Dec- The South African Qur`aan Union herewith invites you and your family to attend the `Cape Town Qur`aan Festival` that will be taking place at various mosques from 14- 20 December 2009, Insha`Allah.
Qari Abdullah Saeed Anwar, a leading Qur`aan reciter and Qiraa`aat teacher from Pakistan, will be the guest of honour at the event.
The venues are as follows:

Mon 14- Masjidus- Salaam, St Athens Rd After Maghrib
Tues 15- Darul Islam Masjid, Surrey Estate After Maghrib
Wed 16- Masjiduth-Thanie, Rocklands After Maghrib
Thur 17- Masjidul Kareem, Eagle Park After Maghrib
Fri 18- Husami Masjid, Cravenby Jumu`ah
Fri 18- Ahmedi Sunni Masjid, Grassy Park After Maghrib
Sat 19- Masjidul Irshaad, Woodlands After Maghrib
Sun 20- Habibia Soofi Masjid After Maghrib

South African Qur`aan Union are also offering free fulltime Hifdh classes for boys and girls at the Institute of Islamic Sharia Studies, Heideveld. Registrations are now open.

Sheikh Muhammad Ali Faraj

Sheikh Muhammad Ali Faraj, son of Sheikh Mahmud Ali Faraj is indeed blessed with a long breath and a very strong physique.
After completeing the memorization of the Quran at the age of 14, he traveled to a number of countries for Quran recitations and received awards from the King of Malaysia and the President of Maldives in recognition for his excellent recitation of the Holy Qur'aan. Sheikh Faraj, who has the most beautiful charachter spends most of his time in the rememberance of Allah. He is a qualified attorney and resident Qari at the Amr Bin Aas Masjid in Egypt.
